My Daily - Best Friend Lane

Today, Grace came over to see me.

We didn't have any big plans.

Sometimes we talked.

Sometimes we just sat together.

She brought a strawberry milkshake, and I brought a little flower I found growing by the path.

We laughed while drawing on the pavement with colourful chalk.

We watched little bees visiting the flowers.

And before we knew it, the afternoon had quietly slipped away.

It made me think...

Friendship isn't always about exciting adventures.

Sometimes it's simply having someone beside you who makes an ordinary day feel a little brighter.

I think those are the days I remember the most.

The little conversations.

The comfortable silences.

The tiny moments that don't seem important at the time...

but somehow stay in your heart forever.
